Ryan Shelton is a Melbourne-based artist, actor, podcaster, writer and producer. In late 2025 he opened his debut exhibition, All This Work, Just For This, a collection of conceptual paintings, sculptures and videos.

Ryan began his career in 2003 on Melbourne's Channel 31 and went on to co-create TV shows including Hamish & Andy's Gap Year and True Story. He co-wrote Chris Lilley's We Can Be Heroes, and first developed his left-of-centre comedy style as a regular on Rove Live.

He has since co-hosted national drive radio on Nova, created and starred in How to Life for Channel 4 in the UK, and played both himself and his fictional twin brother Jason, in the ABC's At Home Alone Together. On the big screen, he has appeared in Peter Farrelly's Ricky Stanicky and Ball's Up. And on the smaller online screen, he spent 2020 and 2021 independently creating 22 short films with close friends and collaborators including Sarah Snook, James Drinkwater, Dave Lawson, Steve Curry and Jamieson Moore.

In 2019 he co-founded The Imperfects, a top-ranking Australian mental health podcast about embracing vulnerability, which has toured nationally to sold-out audiences.

Along with his second exhibition, I Could Do That, Ryan rounds out 2026 with roles in Nazeem Hussain's Separated at Birth, Ed Kavalee's Cop This and Hamish Blake's Unskilled Adult.
