the "High Heel Index" theory, coined by former IBM consumer products expert Trevor Davis. Davis observed a correlation between economic upturns and higher shoe heel heights, with recessions seeing lower heels. We've explored a similar question: "Could the same be said for the length (and width) of paintings and art?" This idea prompts us to consider how factors like material costs, studio space, and shipping fees might influence artists' choices during challenging economic periods, much like during the pandemic when many artists adapted to working in smaller home environments.

We believe this thought-provoking theme adds an intriguing layer to the appreciation of the diverse and exquisite "little treasures" on display. We look forward to sharing these unique works with you.
