Jason Cordero b. 1971

Overview
"How people, move into the landscape and attach themselves to it, develop ownership, make a story about a place, then change it . . Each person and culture will have a different view of the same thing and interpret it differently. Put their stories to it." - Jason Cordero on the Lanscape

Jason Cordero (b. 1973) is an Australian painter renowned for his evocative landscapes that transcend mere topographical representation. His works delve into the metaphysical, exploring themes of possession, perception, and belonging. Through intense colour, precise draughtsmanship, and storytelling, Cordero creates surreal environments that invite viewers into contemplative realms. His landscapes are not depictions of specific locations but are manifestations of inner worlds, offering a sense of solitude and introspection.
