Luke Cornish (E.L.K): Collectors' Focus Series VI

By his own admission, Luke Cornish (E.L.K) documents the apocalypse. Having been born and raised in Canberra, Luke became acutely politically aware from a young age. His works document the social and political unrest in Australia and report from the conflict zones across the world.

Cornish’s chosen medium is stencilling and aerosol. Although traditionally identified with street and protest art for the speed of application and clarity of the message, Luke’s methodology is more complex, utilising, for each work, upwards of a hundred individual laser-cut acetate stencils to account for individual shapes and colours within his creations.
