The piece references the infamous 1977 God Save the Queen single by the Sex Pistols, where the Queen’s image was used to challenge authority and the status quo. D*Face appropriates this rebellious energy, reimagining the Queen in a striking, almost caricatured form, blending royal symbolism with punk aesthetics. The use of bold colors and graphic style underscores punk's anti-establishment ethos and its confrontation with tradition but now recontextualised within the self-depricating, unserious imaginary of the street art movement.
