Your wildflower eyes
Your imperfect … perfection
Artist’s have long painted that which they love and admire…that which inspires them to create.
Obviously I’m personally inspired by the evocative beauty of the female form.

I paint the same emotion.the same connection. the same love that’s inspired a thousand and one love songs. That will inspire a thousand and one more.
My paintings always depict two lovers. One seen. The other unseen.
Our point of view as spectator is that of the unseen lover.
This intimate perspective is disconcerting for some. Making them somewhat uncomfortable on viewing and more often than not a little bit angry.

Those that relate, relate.
Those that don’t, don’t.
Such is art.
Such is life.
The women l exhibit aren’t demure, they allow themselves to be seen, they are not shamed by their unique sexuality. They are playful, courageous and confident as to themselves.
I paint on rough bag hessian, which l especially love as it evokes the Japanese art of Wabi-sabi ie. the discovery of beauty in imperfection.
Obviously my art is not for everyone, which is a good thing, nobody wants to look at art for everyone.
