Feathers will Fly: James Money
Lennox St. Gallery is delighted to present Feathers Will Fly, an exhibition of recent paintings and works on paper by James Money.
Money flies into Lennox Street flocked by his feathered entourage. These birds have bravado. Big birds; big egos. They talk the talk (and squawk the squawk). It’s a war of the birds. With beaks drawn at twenty paces, who will survive in this bird-eat-bird world?
Our curiosity is piqued by what is unseen. Are their feathers puffed up for seduction or survival?
Imagined from nature, Money reveals the regal, resplendent, determined avian nature combined with bluff, bluster and spunk. Will they go beak to beak? Who will fly the coop? Or return to the nest?
Through acrylic paint, wax crayon and pen and ink, these winged beauties magnify the dangerous game of life. From haughty hops to majestic motion, they are on the move.
Buckle up and enjoy the flight. There won’t be turbulence but one thing is for sure, feathers will fly.
