Kevin Namatjira was born in 1958 and comes from Hermannsburg Community. The blue and purple colours of the ranges in the distance, the rich colour in the sand and an amazing contrast when the plentiful flora is in bloom. is known for his use of vibrant colors, particularly in his landscapes, which echo the beauty of the Central Australian desert. The blue and purple tones he uses for distant mountain ranges suggest a deep, almost spiritual connection with the land. These colors often reflect both the natural hues of the desert at dawn or dusk, as well as the emotional significance of the landscape itself.

The palette is off the arid nature of the desert and the life that thrives within it. Bursts of color contrast with the vast, dry space. vibrant yellows, reds, greens, creating a lively contrast against the warmer hues of the sand and the cool, distant ranges. A softness, dreamlike, alluding for an abstract sense of connection to the spiritual significance of land.
