Josh Foley is a contemporary artist from Tasmania, Australia. Foley's practice primarily revolves around painting, but he also works with mixed media and installation art. His artworks often explore the relationship between the natural environment and human culture, as well as the intersection of the past and present.

 

Born in 1983 in Launceston, Tasmania, Foley studied at the School of Visual and Performing Arts, UTAS, where he received a Bachelor of Contemporary Arts with Honours in 2004. After completing his studies, he continued to hone his craft and gain recognition through various group exhibitions, including the Hutchins Art Prize and the EMSLA art prize in Coffs Harbour.
