The Lennox St. Gallery Art Award celebrates contemporary visual art, providing a platform for artists to showcase exceptional Paintings and works on paper. Open to artists under the age of 35 and living in Australia, the award invites submissions of original paintings and works on paper created within the last twelve months. The aim of the award is to recognise excellence in artistic practice while fostering the development of new and diverse artistic voices.
This year, the gallery will select 15-25 finalists based on the quality of their work, with the final selection process judged by a panel of esteemed Artists, Collectors and Professionals in the art world. Finalists will have the opportunity to exhibit their work in the gallery, with the possibility of sales and promotion. All entries will be assessed primarily on the clarity and quality of the digital images submitted, so we encourage entrants to ensure high-resolution photos of their work are provided.
Key Dates & Details
- Artwork Submission: Midnight, Sunday, 4th May 2025.
- Artwork Types: Only paintings and works on paper will be accepted.
- Size Limitation: Artwork should not exceed 200cm x 200cm.
- Entry Fee: No entry fee required.
- Selection Process: 15-25 finalists will be chosen the week beginning Tuesday, 20 May, 2025 .
- Sales Commission: Works will be available for sale with a 50% commission on any artwork sold during the exhibition.
Submission Requirements include:
- A clear, high-quality digital image of your artwork.
- Cataloguing details: Title, date, medium, and size of the piece.
- A brief artist statement and CV outlining your creative process or the concept behind the work.
