Lennox St. Gallery is committed to exhibiting contemporary Australian and International art by established, mid-career, and emerging artists.
Since its inception in March 2001, over its twenty-year history, the gallery has hosted solo exhibitions by some of the most prominent Australian artists, including John Olsen, Tim Storrier, Robert Jacks, Yvonne Audette, Michael Johnson, and Chris Canning, as well as international artists, including Damien Hirst, HODA, HUSH, and Anthony White.
The gallery is a strong supporter of indigenous art and artists, and has hosted solo exhibitions by Kathleen Kngale, Tommy Watson, Judy Watson, Naata Nungurrayi, Raymond Young, Jorna Newberry, Robby Wirramanda, and the artists of the Western Desert. Lennox St. Gallery also remains a strong supporter of The Torch project, which provides art, cultural and arts industry support to Indigenous offenders and ex-offenders through art programs to define new pathways upon release.
Since its launch, Lennox St. Gallery has also committed itself to publishing a vast range of monographs, artist’s books, scholarly exhibition catalogues, and limited editions, profiling a number of prominent artists, including Chris Canning, Fred Cress, Roger Kemp, Robert Jacks, Matthew Quick, John Olsen, Andrew Sibley, Tim Storier, Bill Whiskey Tjapaltjarri, and many others.
Through a program of regular cultural events, artist’s talks, and guided exhibition tours, Lennox St. Gallery continues providing education opportunities in a variety of areas in art and the art market for the gallery’s clients and general public alike.
Operating in an increasingly global environment, Lennox St. Gallery is constantly evolving. Within the last decade, the gallery has welcomed a number of artists working in a variety of styles across a number of disciplines, including painting, sculpture, works on paper, graphics, photography, and installation-based works.
Today, Lennox St. Gallery is proud to showcase established and mid-career artists, including Dianne Gall, Louise Feneley, Dean Home, Bruno Leti, Mali Moir, Matthew Quick, Steve Rosendale, and Jim Thalassoudis; as well as such emerging artists as Donovan Christie, Tom Gerrard, Louis Pratt, Saxon Quinn, and Loribelle Spirovski among others.
